Second in Africa to only the mythical Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m) in terms of size, Mount Kenya (5,199m) is an immensely impressive peak.
For 7 days, I would like to guide you on a journey that will take you from the beautiful city of Nairobi, to the highest summit of Mount Kenya, the Batian summit (5,199m) and back. This journey will be full of unforgettable natural sights. It will also be full of arduous, and at times, technically difficult climbing. However, the rewards you will get not from just one, but two of the peak’s glorious summits (the other being the Nelion Tower at 5,188m) are absolutely worth it.
During the climb itself, we will be ascending by way of the normal south east face route. This route will take us to Nelion. From Nelion, you will get to pass through the breathtaking Gate of mists on the way to the Batian summit. During the climb you will be staying in tents, as well as different huts, including the Austrian hut and the Howell hut.
As a result of the technical aspects inherent in this climb, it is important that participants have prior mountaineering experience. It is also crucial that you are in good enough physical condition to handle the rigours of this excursion.
The climb to the top of Mount Kenya is amazing. And if the day is clear, you can even see the summit of Kilimanjaro from the Batian summit! To experience this adventure for yourself, then book your place now and get ready for an adventure you will never forget!
